1970 FORD BRONCO - Uncut and Original (NO RESERVE)
1970 Ford Bronco Uncut
HERE'S YOUR CHANCE TO OWN AND ENJOY AN ORIGINAL EARLY BRONCO (UNCUT) AT AN AFFORDABLE PRICE! This is a REAL AUCTION (No Reserve) and Opening Bid is well below actual value!
This truck is driven routinely. I've spent well over $6k on improvements since last fall and countless hours of work. Mechanicallythe truck is good to go, roady ready (reliable & safe), undercarriage is in excellent original condition and interior flooring has just been restored. Like any vintage vehicle, there's always plenty more that can be done but I've completed most of the "to do list". I will explain below what has been done already and what else I suggest be done.
CHECK MY FEEDBACK SO YOU KNOW WHAT I'M TELING YOU IS OPEN & HONEST
ENGINE: Fires up and runs great, no issues at all - lots of new parts just added:
•Holley 600 4 barrel carb (polished) w/ electric choke & Edelbrock Performer intake. New fuel filter and fuel line added.
•Timing Chain & Harmonic Balancer
•Distributor, spark plugs and wires
•Alternator
•Gas tank
What'sleft to do? Add a set of headers and new exhaust. I have a set of brand new stainless headers in the box from Tom's Broncos and a slightly used Flowmaster 3" muffler that I will give to the high bidder as long as the final price goes over $17k. If it doesn't I will sell them to you for $250. Battery is in the final stage of it's useful life.
TRANSMISSION: Just installed a newly rebuilt Ford C4 AUTOMATIC w/ shift kit and a LOKAR SHIFTER. These transmissions are awesome in the Broncos and really makes a huge difference in drivability. Transfer case (4x4) was upgraded to a 1975 model with James Duff TWIN SHIFT shifter.
Whats left to do? Nothing
SUSPENSION & STEERING: Power Steering and steering stabilizer added.Front and Rear SWAYBARS added (rear is not currently connected).2" lift.New rear Rancho Shocks. Has fairly new James Duff C Bushings.
What's left to do?Replace front shocks.I thought they were fine but after adding new rear shocks it's obvious the front are spongy.Cheap and easy fix.
BRAKES: Disc brakes all the way around, new Wilwood on the rear and Ford on the front. New Wilwood Master Cylinder installed.
What's left to do? Add a brake booster to get the full advantage of disc brakes. Still has the old school manual feel now.
BODY: Body is in exceptional original condition and don't underestimate the difference in being original and unmolested vs most trucks out there that have had a lot of new aftermarket flimsy sheet metal added. All the lines match well and the doors open/close like new.The only real rust is the tailgate and I already bought a brand new one and you get it with the truck. There is some rust on the weld where the upper and lower quarter panels are welded together but it can be grinded and repaired w/o replacement. There's some rust in spots along the lip of the top but also can be repaired if you want. There was also some rust spots on the door pillars that has been removed, treated and repainted.Only other rust anywhere is a couple spots under the hood that's been removed, treated and repainted. That's full disclosure and I have inspected everything closely - there's no more rust anywhere. There's some dings and scrapes here and there but paint condition is still pretty good, only place the clear coat is gone is the top of the driver side fender.
INTERIOR: Everything is in great shape and fresh coat of anti skid coating on the flooring. The front floor panels have been replaced.Seat upholstery is like new.Has a "roll bar". Has Interior panels for the rear panel area that I removed but come with the truck (see photo). Speakers, wipers and 3rd brake light are currently disconnected.
-What's left to do?Install seat belts. There are 2 shoulder belts mounted to the roll bar but needs the part you connect to on the passenger side and there's no seat belts for the back seat.It had a headliner that needed to be replaced.I bought a new one but haven't replaced it, you will get it with the truck.Voltage regulator for the gauges needs to be replaced.I will do that before you get it.
CHASIS/ UNDER-CARRAIGE:Frame is perfect, no rust anywhere and there's nothing needed to anything under there. I purposely have not spray painted the underside so you can see the real condition.Beware of the ones that have a fresh coat of spray paint hiding the rust.Gas tank has been replaced.
What's left to do?Nothing
Let me know if you have any questions or want more pictures of anything.
If you've been looking at Broncos then you know that a truck in this condition is rare. You can enjoy it now as is or keep going with what I've started...possibilities are limitless. I've owned 7 Broncos and this was the one I planned to go "all in" on but I found another one that I couldn't resist.
Truck is listed locally and could sell before auction ends.I will consider offers to end the auction early too but you will have to be the high bidder in order for me to end the auction early.

There is an exhaust leak that I forgot to specifically mention. We had to remove the exhaust pipe to replace the transmission and used the old gasket (so it leaks) because I knew I'd be installing headers and new exhaust soon.

Radio isn't hooked up. I took the speakers and radio out. Put the radio back in now but there aren't any speakers mounted, does come with a pair of cheap speakers.
