1991 Ford Mustang LX

Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 1991 Ford Mustang LX 5.0L. I would rate the exterior of this Mustang to be in BELOW AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. It is finished in black, which is a good color. The finish does show some fading from age, as you'd expect from an old car. There are a few rust bubbles under the paint on the RR fender and one on the edge of the hatch, which is normal. There is also a dent on the left rocker and it looks as if the right door may not be original to the car. Also, the cowl panel is bent. All in all...not bad for it's age but far from a show car. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and hatch all open and close easily. All of the glass and lenses are intact. This car has a nice set of Weld Draglite's that are wrapped in nice rubber with good tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully as this car is far from perfect. I would rate the interior of this Mustang to also be in BELOW AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. To be honest, the interior itself isn't too bad. The dash and headliner are clean. The door cards look fine. Even the carpets aren't bad. This Mustang will need a new weather stripping kit. You can see on the driver's seat that it does drip water. The seats show well for their age and are comfortable. Both power windows work. As usual, the power locks do not...neither do the mirrors. The stereo is aftermarket. It works, but not my favorite set-up. The climate control system seems to need some work. The heater does not blow hot air and the air conditioner is inoperable. My biggest complaint about the interior is all the gauges. Half of them don't work. Also, the instrument cluster doesn't really light up. What's more, neither the headlights nor the front parking lights work. The tail lights work and the high beams flash...but that's it. If it were my car, I'd rip it all out and just start clean. Mechanically, this Mustang appears to be all there. I was given some spec's for the car by the dealer it was traded at...but I have no way to verify any of it so I'm just passing along what I was told. I am told the engine is a 306ci but I have no way to verify that. I was also told the car has a mild cam...but it sounds stock to me. I can see a cold air intake and a full ignition system upgrade. I can also see a full exhaust from the headers back. I was told the car has a "built trans". I don't know what that means. I believe the trans is a C4. Shifts are very quick and clean so you know it's not just a stock trans with a shift kit. I am also told the car has 3.73's...this, I believe to be true. The engine makes good power and feels strong. She keeps perfect temperature and good oil pressure. The transmission feels strong...no slipping or hunting. Shifts are very quick and strong. She goes down the road nice and straight. The power steering seems to be either removed intentionally or not working. You can feel a little pulsation in the brakes if you stand on them hard from highway speed. Somehow, this car has a brand new PA safety and emissions inspection...despite the fact that the headlights don't work. I am selling this as a "project car" because it needs work, one way or another. You could get the lights working right and just use it as a daily...or...use it as a strong base for a real project. These cars are getting hard to find. Most everything out there in the market is high end, well kept or restored examples. If you don't want to spend $15,000 to get into a Foxbody Mustang, here is your chance to get a solid, straight car you can put your own touch on. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
