1959 Ford Thunderbird

This 1959 Baltic Blue/Colonial White "Squarebird" was rescued from a 30 YEAR garage sleep in 2012. Much mechanical work has been completed, most due to sitting for so long. The motor not only survived but runs great! It is now a completely operational car that can be driven and enjoyed. Repairs include rebuilt transmission, complete brake system including metal lines, new gas tank, fuel pump and lines, carb rebuild, all new dual exhaust, radial tires, belts and hoses, heater core, water pump, front shocks, P.S. hoses and more. All the hard work is done. Has leaky exhaust manifold gasket, P.S. valve body leak.
Interior is mostly factory with new OEM carpet set, front seats with correct vinyl and stitching. Dash pad has the Ford "pucker".
Everything works except radio. Body has rusty quarters that were repaired once long ago with sides of fenders repainted. Patch panels for these are readily available. Other than small areas behind front tires, rest of body and floor are solid. The remaining exterior is original and still presentable with the usual dings and scratches. The top is still quite nice. All glass is good and chrome still shines. Believe this car was cared for before it was parked. Three decades out of the weather shows, with trunk area, door jambs, etc looking good.
