1932 Ford Hi-Boy Coupe
1932 Ford Coupe Hot Rod
Up for auction is my personal 1932 Ford Hi-Boy Coupe. I built this car in 2013 specifically for my own personal use and have enjoyed it tremendously. The '32's mileage is 9,400 since being built. It has a clear 1932 Ford Coupe Tennessee title. I include a great deal of information and detail below and in the photos so please read closely before bidding.
Background:
This vehicle has a Bebop glass body on a Brookville chassis. I have built dozens of street rods and hot rods over the years for myself and for friends and this is one of my very favorite. This is a very high quality build that has been super reliable and is well sorted for any issues or concerns.I have traveled to many shows and club events with this '32 and wouldn't hesitate to drive it across the country. It is solid, quiet (lots of sound deadening material) and comfortable for even long trips. The bodyhas metal drip rails which werean extra cost item. Most folks assume this to be a steel car and are amazed when told its not. The engine on this build was a brand new GM350 crate motor from Jegs. Transmission was a freshly rebuilt 350 turbo. Rear end is a Ford 9" with 2.75 gearing for nice highway cruising. As noted, chassis is a high quality Brookville. Paint is a low gloss acrylic enamel gray (not a primer) with no chips, dings or scratches (other than a few minute hard to notice marks down low atthe hood hold down catches). Tires are Michelin with excellent tread remainingon steel "Smoothie" wheels with Ford "period correct" center caps. Power brakes, disc front, drums at rear. Interior is black leather and is carpeted. Seats, door panels and headliner are in excellent condition with no marks, scratches or cracking. The interior has seat belts including shoulder belts. Dash has a full complement of modern but "period correct" gauges along with heat and AC controls and tilt steering column. The wiring is "Kwik Wire." Check the photos to see the under dash wiring to get a sense of the care and quality I build into my cars. The chassis and underneath are immaculate, just as clean as the top (check the photos). The trunk is finished in matching carpet, is spotless and includes a mounted fire extinguisher. Door sills and jams are properly finished to look "factory." Windows have full weather strip and seals/whiskers. Car is tight and dry even in a heavy rain. The doors close and latch with a very satisfying and solid "thunk" that even old Henry Ford would admire. As I said, I have driven this car over 9,000 miles, yet the entire car still looks like the day I built it. The car has won numerous awards at regional events and shows and was also featured in the 2017 NSRA Yearbook magazine. This '32 always gets complements and attention whenever I take it out.
