This is a really clean 1986 F150 Ext cab pick up. Its fully loaded with a 351W naturally aspiratedengine, ew transmission less than 6000 miles ago and up to date service records. I bought it from the guy who bought it from the family of the original owner. At the time he purchased the truck it was running and driving perfect. After a few months itdevelopeda over heating issue. He replaced the fan clutch, adiator, hermostat. Then was told it had a bad head gasket.After the last auction ended with no sale I bought a reman engine with a 3 yr unlimited mileage warranty. Pulled the old engine, emoved all the needed parts inspected each, eplaced what was not worth keeping or to much of a pain to do with it in the truck cleaned everything. repainted and reinstalled. The Oil pump, ater pump, lt and starter were all replaced. Holley carb was rebuilt. Crankcase was filled with Rotella 15-40 and a bottle of Lucas ZDDP high zink additive was added. Pump was primed before it went into the truck. Dist. installed and set to TDC.Once everything was reconnected it fired off with the first crank.Timingwas set to 12* BTDC and the RPMS run up to 2000. it ran for 30 mins for break in. No drips or leaks were found.Re installed the A/C compresso, ressure tested,evacuatedand charged with the correct amount by weight of R12 Blows super cold and does not leak. I'vedrivenit for 5 miles thus far. Runs strong.The body and frame are inexcellentcondition. No rust found anywhere. I have the missing / damaged trim in the bed. I may get around to installing it before auction ends.The int is in very good shape with some wear normal for a 29 yr old truck. no rips or tears. dash pad is perfect. everything on the dash is nice.The truck needs a repaint. the roof is covered with surface rust. This will make someone a very nice driver or the start to a great project. All the toughexpensivestuff is done. and done right.
