1974 Ford Galaxie LTD

For sale is one of my project cars. It's a 1974 Ford Countrysquire station wagon. May be a 10 passenger, it has the opposing jump seats in the very back. All seats fold-down in back to make a large cargo area. Car was sitting since 1986 in a barn near Jasper Alabama when I got it. Has 460 4-V engine with automatic. Front disc brakes, a/c, p/s, maybe even an 8 track player. Factory red paint but has a repaint on it. Interior panel removed from tailgate by PO to open door from inside. Currently cant open from outsise, but haven't dianosed it.Woodgrain on the inserts is pretty good but the surround trim is peeling. Has a spotlight on left pillar and a CB antenna on roof. Kind of made me think it was a Fire Chiefs car. Have replaced: fuel pump, water pump, fan clutch and radiator. Runs good on high idle, I pulled carb off and put a kit in it but still needs adjustment. Also have a new fuel tank to go in it, but old tank still installed.Have been running off gallon jug under hood. Has 1986 bias belted tires that will need to be replaced. Wal Mart sells a Cooper Radial for about $100 each. All 4 orinal wheelcovers are with car. Have clear Tennessee Title in my name. Very solid car. Vinyl seats mostly intact but cracking at seams, I bought 2 indian blankets to put on them. Even have some vintage luggage I'll throw in that I bought for the car. Selling AS IS. Bring a truck and a sturdy trailer to haul this baby home. Have for sale locally and reserve the right to end auction if reserve not met.
