1967 Ford Mustang

This 1967 Ford Mustang is a great example of a passionate owner investing time and money into this coupe, yet still offering the car for a fraction of what it would cost you to build it.
This Mustang started out life in a more mute color, but the point of a pony this beautiful is to be recognized. If the bright red paint wasn't enough of a standout, then the dual triple stripes will grab everyone's attention. While this is all part of a design theme to be noticeable, there are some more subtle elements like the modified hood, and the extra attention that has gone into making all the brightwork have a brilliant mirror shine. Another chrome piece that is unmistakable are the 17-inch American Racing Torq Thrust wheels. They are mounted to modern Nexen 3000 tires, and despite being low-profile sport models, the rear is slightly taller for a more aggressive stance.
Inside, this Mustang is an update on the original, blended with some very desirable new features. There's a fresh black vinyl bucket seat interior that has kept the door panels, headliner, dashboard, and everything else just as aggressively black and clean. Mustangs love to be road trip cars, and so the AM/FM/CD stereo with modern 6x9 speakers in the rear will really make the miles go a lot quicker. While that's a feature for everyone, the driver is the person who really gets a feeling of how special this coupe is. Just a short hand drop from the original-style three-spoke wood steering wheel is the stick shift. It will feel a bit more modern than the original Mustang unit, and then you'll see the mapping that tells you something very special is going on underneath.
This Mustang is factory coded for a 289 cubic-inch V8 motor. But all you have to do is pop the hood, and you'll know it's pumping out a lot more power than stock. This engine has been upgraded with a sturdy Edelbrock performance package that includes the air cleaner, carburetor, and intake manifold. It also has an electronic ignition, performance distributor/wires, and ribbed aluminum valve covers. Plus, inside where it really counts, it is running a hotter camshaft with roller rockers. While the clean engine bay is a clear indication of all of these upgrades, people will know this is a mean machine well before you open the hood, thanks to the dual exhaust's aggressive grunt. Making sure that you can keep all of this performance motor in its ideal powerband is a five-speed manual transmission. Yes, that's right a FIVE-SPEED! This means downshifting is easy without being reckless, and at the same time, you can take this classic Mustang into overdrive on as many long road trips as you want.
This Mustang was upgraded to perform, but those same features make it a surprisingly comfortable long distance cruiser. It's everything you could want in the most iconic blue oval coupe.
