You are bidding on a 1948 totally rust free 59,00 orig mileFord Coupe. It's a 2 owner car I bought locally out of an estate. It was painted and the interior redone in LaBarron Bonney original cloth 35 years ago. Interior is in mint condition thru out except for the original rubber floor mat and I've had that on order from Drake for two years. The dash is original and I replaced the Speedo with an electric 5 inch Autometer with a small tach in the bottom of it. I put a tube A arm independent front end under it with power rack and pinion steering,all new no used parts, and forged dropped spindles to get the stance it needed. I installed a TCI rear leaf kit and an all New Moser 9" Ford rearend with new Moser axles and 3.55 to 1 gears to mate with the 200R overdrive Trans which is also new.It has an allnew GM 260 HP crate engine with less than 3000 miles since installed. A new Edelbrock intake and electric choke Holley 600 CFM carb. A pertronix distributor and Taylor vertex wires. A custom pinstriped Caddy style air cleaner and chrome AC compressor and Delco Chrome alternator. A new Griffin big tube radiator and electric fan with a shroud built on it. We installed all new custom USA made Rebel wiring thru out and two speed electric wipers. Halogen head lights and LED front and rear turn and tail lights. The car sets right and drives better with the Wheel Vintique Solids and Radial tires. This car was built to cruise and go on long trips if you want. It has Air,heat and defrost that blows ice cold and a heater that will burn you up. The glass is excellent and all the door and window seals are in good shape. Chrome and stainless is all very nice and bumpers are also very nice. It has a new tilt steering column and 15" reproduction 40 Ford steering wheel painted to match the original interior colors. I also included a picture of the original speedo with only 59,000 original miles. If you want a nice Never rusted car then this is it. Under neath, in the wheel wells or whereever you look there is no evidence of rust or if there ever was any. Buy the car and drive it home it's all new.
