Description:
1926 Ford Model T
I purchased this car in 2010 from the son of the original owner who rebuilt it in 1992. He and his wife left their home in Fulton, Mo.the next year in the Model T for Alaska and the Arctic Circle and returned to Fulton. Since owning the car, it has been professionally maintained. Fortunately, when the engine was rebuilt, it included a Model A crank, and cast aluminum "high compression" head, 6v electrical system with starter, and the Ruckstell 2 sp rear end. Horsepower is estimated at about 36 (10 hp from the A crank, 4 hp from the Hi comp head) versus the original 22.5. The Fordor is a heavy car, it weighs in right at 2000 lbs, so the additional power is certainly welcomed. Here is a listing to date of repair and replacement items that have been completed since owning the car: Generator Rebuild, New Exhaust Manifold, New Gas Line, Rebuilt Holley Carb, Reset Timing, New Coil, Distributer,Plug Wires, New Radiator Hoses/Clamps, Install Horn, Paint Engine, Install Turn Signals, Install New Set of Tires, Paint Rims (Dark Ford Blue), Respoke Front, Rear Wheels, New Triple Gear Bushings. All work is documented with the appropriate paperwork. Everything that came with this car when I bought it goes with the car. This is NOT a show car, however it does show well. It goes on short tours, errands, loves a parade, cruise nights, and it's own special place in our garage. I rub on her a lot, so she is used to being shiney, and have always allowed others to touch and feel her. I love this old car, we have bonded, but life moves on and there are competing demands for my time.Vehicle Details:
