1948 Ford Flatbed Cab Over Engine Custom Truck. It has a 350 V8 and a turbo 350 transmission. It has 40,000 miles on the motor. This truck sits on a 1980 Chevy 3500 chassis so it runs and drives like a newer truck.
I am listing this for my friend Tom. He bought this about 10 years ago and has done everything to it. When he bought it it was just a 1948 ford body and a flatbed mounted on a later model chassis. We searched the state to find a 29 inch coffin sleeper to mount so he had the bed shorted and narrowed to mount the sleeper and still have it look correct. He had all the interior done so the cab and sleeper match. It also has new Eagle wheels and new Big O Tires. He had the exhaust stacks put on after the sleeper was mounted. Tom owns the Big O Tire Shop and used it for advertising and for all the local car shows/events, fundraisers and cruise ins to the local burger joint with his grandkids.
It has been an awesome truck but now he has a Model A Hotrod and no longer is in need of the Truck. It has been sitting at the Big O shop for the last couple of years so it could use a bit of TLC before any long road trips.
This truck has NO rust; I mean NO rust at all so you can drive it the way it is or take it to the next level with your own custom additions. It gets lots of looks and is enjoyed by all at the local car shows. It has also won many trophy's at these shows. The Big O logo can be removed without too much trouble and a little satin black paint or you can easily affix your own special logos.
