1978 Ford F-100 CAMPERS SPECIAL 4X4

I have a 1978 Ford F100 4x4. I have been told its a campers special, however I really don't know too much about it. They say it's a campers special because of the emblem on the tailgate along with the v8 460 cubic inch engine, as well as a heavy duty rear end and the tool box in the passenger side bed of the truck. I'm not a Ford expert so please verify that yourself and if anyone has any comments or info please message me and ill post the comments for everyone to see. Here is what I do know about the truck, its nice. The running gear is great, the engine doesn't leak or smoke, it cranks and drives great. The transmission and 4x4 work properly, it shifts and engages as it should. It has air conditioning that work, however, the older gentleman that had it before me added a toggle switch in the dash to cut the compressor on and off ? The blinkers, lights, horn and heater all work. The radio works but wont win any contests. The paint job is very presentable, but not show quality. It does have some chips and scratches, but I haven't found any body repairs. The bed should be addressed, it looks as though a homemade spray or roll in bed liner was added and it doesn't do the inside of the bed any favors. I think it should be sandblasted and painted inside the bed but at least add a quality spray in liner to really complete the exterior of the truck. The interior is decent, no tears in the seat, the head liner is fine, the door panels are ok. However, I have a cheap plastic dash cover on the truck that is bubbling up and needs to be replaced. I believe the previous owner changed the interior color to red because the dash and paint by the kick plate is a bronze color. the interior is ok but not perfect. I had someone take it to a local mechanic with some pretty strong ford credentials and he gave it a good bill of health with the only complaint being the steering box needed to be adjusted.
