"1962 Ford f-100"Original Farm Trucka true survivorOriginal Rebuilt 292 V-8Truck started out and lived most of it's life on a local farm in Upstate South Carolina, about 20 miles from where I live .
Very low original miles ( told to me by the selle, I personally can't guarantee but have no reasons to not believeit. ) I drive it often so subject to change ( 57,003 ) today 11/27/16
I bought the truck locally from the guy who restored it, he bought it as a project for him and his two grandchildre, they picked the colors as it was originally an all WHITE farm truck, so the paint is NOT original, and the seat was recovered, all else is farm truck original except the work that was done to bed and tailgate.
The original engine was rebuilt by a shop in North Carolina and was bored .30 over it starts and runs great. Will start first crank and runs fine, a bit cold blooded but after warm up she's good to go. The cost of the engine rebuild exceeded $ 3,600
Most of the truck was in otherwise good original shape on frame and body, she got a new paint jo, but not a frame off restoration.
The bed of the truck got new stainless hardware and a very nice cherry wood deck which looks like new, the underside of truck looks nice too.
The window fuzz, and rubber trim are all good, I have new rubber for the vent windows I will give to buyer, or maybe install if I have time ( no guarantee expressed )
The gaugesall work. lighter does not.
I bought this truck because my daughter wanted a short be, step side ole' blue truck, we found this one just down the road, so had to buy it. We have enjoyed i, it gets plenty of great comments and looks, however things change ( especially when your 12, or me ) so we are now looking for a ole' truck with air conditioning and modern running gea, maybe something sitting on an s-10 sub frame or resto mod truck or '55 Chevy Belair type ride.
It's a great daily driver, nice for weekend car shows, won't win the Concourse D'elegance or be on Barrett Jackson anytime soon, but if your looking for a good solid truck, or rat rod patina conversio, it might be the best option.
Good luck with the sale, I have a fair reserve, and am willing to take a loss to get into another classic ride...my loss is your gain....bid often bid to win....thanks for looking
