1953 Ford F-100

Vehicle History:

This 1953 Ford F-100 ½ Ton Light Duty Shortbox with Straight 6 Overhead Cam Engine was bought by my father in the early 1970’s. It was used in his shop to transport metal. The truck was maintained and in use until the early 1990’s when it was kept in a garage until around 2004. After that time the truck was kept in running condition with repairs made to the brakes, steering, and lights. This F-100 has new Tires, Axel Cover & Gas Tank according to the original 1953 specs. For the last several years the truck has been parked outside and driven occasionally. In the past four years, the brakes failed and my father has not had the time to fix them. My father would start the truck every couple of weeks and keep it running in place. He did this until the battery died three years ago.

This F-100 is registered as an Antique with antique license plate (See Pic). The title is clean and clear for registering.

Truck Condition:

The truck requires proper preparation to get running. These include repair in the brake line and new battery.

The truck was in running condition as recent as three years ago. The clutch engages and all of the gears shift like butter and hold. The gages are intact and look good. Engine is a 215 CID Straight 6 engine with 101 HP. It is intact and not a cracked block, the gears shift and are not stripped.

The truck has a pos. ground 6 volt electrical system. The tires are good and have sunk into the mud from sitting.

This truck has the factory Straight 6 Overhead Cam in it and three speed on the column. The glass is all there and the windows go up and down. The locks on both doors need replacing and have a small bolt installed to keep them closed. The tailgate goes up and down easy.
