1981 Ford E-Series Van

My father purchased this van new in 1981, I grew up riding in this van traveling the country. It has been stored in a building for many of recent years. I had to replace both fuel tanks and sending units because the tanks had fuel left in them over the years and were badly corroded. The two sending units with the tank level indicators do not register the tanks as completely full when they are full, but they lower accordingly as the fuel is used up. I was told this sometimes happens with these new sending units but I never took the effort to perfect them. The power booster brake cylinder was also replaced. The engine runs very good, shifts great too. It drives very smooth and comfortable. There were some mice nests that accumulated in the vent ducts in thevan.I got most all the nest material out of the vent ducts but there is still a slight smell. The interior is in great shape as are all the cushions. The back couch folds into a bed and all the buckets recline. It does leak a few oil drops after driving it, I cannot tell if its around the oil pan or some other location. I installed a brand new heavy duty trailer hitch on it as well with 7-waylight connection. This is still a great van, and looks amazing for its age. I get a lot of lookers on it. There are very few dings and small minor surfacerust near the fuel capdoors on the side of the van. The tireshave great tread but are older tires and some were flat while in storage for the many years. They look good still and shine up well. Please ask anything that may be a concern or question to you and I will answer you. I had the A/C recharged a year ago and seems to still be holding charge well, has good cold A/C. The radio is original and has the 8 track, it plays fairbut the 8 track doesn't seem to work. It still has the maps in thevan from when we drove it in the 80's.I can hold this van for few weeks until pick-up if necessary.
