Up for sale at main street motors... this 1979 ford f-150. We are helping a customer of ourssell this unit it is a decent project for that ford lover. As the pictures show its not in the best of shape however with a little tlc just imagine how nice this could be there is some rust in thedriver floor pan which means thatit could be replaced at some point the bed does need some good body work however the cab seems be in decent shape . It has a full time transfer case with a 400 v8 engine it has factory ac which makes a kinda unique package questions please feel free to email sales@main-street-motors.com or call 541 426 2100 We have this on our lot for sale and want it known that as soon as we get the $2800.00 either on this auction or from a walk-in buyer this unit is sold and the offering on eBay will be closed. thanks Since we have been receiving many questions and much interest in the pickup here is some additional information that will answer a few of these questions: The pickup starts easy, runs good and drives out pretty decent too for that matter. The main thing is that we are helping one of our customers sell this pickup and he wouldn’t let us run it through our shop to determine what all it may need. We know that it has been sitting for quite a few years and is represented as now a two owner pickup. The 86,287 miles on it have been represented as actual miles and some things about that seem to support it such as pedal wear, seat trim etc. but a hole in the floor where the heel of your foot would rest on the accelerator makes us wonder a bit about that. That floor pan is weak from this depression and water sitting in the hole causing it to rust thru. It is really the only sign of serious rust on the truck. Most everything else is surface rust. The pictures show the dents and dings on the box and that is the worst of the body damage. It really is a solid unit that just needs some general maintenance done as we do not feel that the major components such as engine, transmission, transfer case and differentials have anything serious wrong with them. They just need fluids changed, filters changed, hubs packed and probably a tune-up. The brakes and steering items also need to be looked at but if this truck only has 86,000 miles most of these items should be in good drivable condition.
