1977 Ford F-250 Base Custom Cab

We are selling this one owner 1977 Ford F250 pickup for our friend who bought the truck new and enjoyed owning it and working it until a few years ago and as he retired from his working career so did his 3/4 ton pickup truck. It was always a very dependable pickup and it gave Bob many good years of service. Now it needs a new home and quite a bit of work to become a proud Ford F250 Pickup again! He drove it to our store last week and almost with a tear in his eye he asked us to help him sell it. While it isn't very pretty to look at, it actually is a very solid truck, as in no terrible rust issues! Just surface rust as near as we can tell. It has had some body work done on it and the pictures show this primarily on the pickup box where the body putty was applied and has fallen out. The entire truck has many little dents and a few big dents too for that matter. We just installed a new starter as Bob had just put in a new battery and a new master cylinder for the brake system but the light is still on in the dash and the brakes are spongy. He also recently installed a new muffler. He knew it needed a few things done if he expected to find anew buyer for his old faithful companion. The big 300 cubic inch 6 cylinder engine starts and runs quite well and the clutch feels good as well as shifting the gears in the transmission. All of the glass is good in the cab and most of it is original Ford Carlight glass. The seat has a cover on it and while we didn't look under it we are quite sure that it will need to be recovered. The interior has the odor of a mouse family that lived in it for a while, no sign of them now however. The headliner is missing as are a couple of knobs on the dealer installed Ford air conditioning unit controls. The pickup has an old AM/FM stereo that honestly I never even turned it on to see if it works or not. The low miles on this truck are evident as you drive it around as just like all of the Ford cabs back in this day it is quiet and very solid. The truck has the good bones to be totally restored and we all know how durable and reliable those 300 sixes were and keep in mind this truck only has 75,786 miles on it. The two speed transfer case operates as it should and the front hubs spin in and out correctly also. The pictures tell the story and it is up to you to resurrect and restore this old truck to it's former glory! Kind of poetic, huh....
