Factory sleeper hotrod: 1963 Ford Fairlane 4-door sedan (code 54A) in the original raven black paint (code A),with 221 V8 (code L), speedy 3.80 rear axle (code 7) and 3-speed transmission on the column with overdrive (code 2).This is a very original Ford still in original paint, chrome and interior.It has 44K original miles.There is no rust .Nice original interior, chrome, paint, trunk and glass.Doors and glass close smoothly.There was some minor repaint years ago on the top of the driver rear quarter, but the rest of the paint is original. I have the original owner's manual. I have only washed this car. This car will sparkle with cleaning and polish.
This barn find Ford was in storage for decades.Recently taken out of storage.I installed a battery and tested lights, blinkers etc which all work.I cranked the motor and with a little fresh gas in the carburetor and it started for a few seconds.It has not been driven in years.It will need some work to drive, but it’s a nice, original Ford and with some love should do well at car shows.
