We purchased the car with the intent to restore it as it is a pretty solid car. We since decided that we did not have the time to bring it back to the condition it should be. It will make a really nice restoration project for someone with the time.
The car runs and drives. The engine runs really strong. We did change the oil before running it. It does leak transmission fluid and oil as you might expect for a car that sat for a number of years. It sat in a barn for about 4 years and had mold on the interior seats. We cleaned up as best as we could but it does still have a musty smell. There is no serious rust on the frame or underbody of the car. There is surface rust in the trunk etc but nothing rusted through. The body is nice and straight. It looks like it was undercoated at one time. The driver side front quarter panel has rusted through as shown in the pictures and there is some bubbling here and there as shown in the pictures. It is not the original paint but is the original color. It does appear as though the carpets were replaced at one time. The dash and the rest of the interior is in pretty good shape. It had a vinyl top that was starting to flake away. We removed what was left to see what the roof looked like underneath and it looks pretty good with only a couple spots of surface rust.
