This was recently a one owner truck. This 1964 F-100 was purchased in November of 1963 at Gaston Motor Co. in Fairhope,AL(the Ford dealer in Baldwin County before Bay View Ford / Sandy Sansing Ford). The truck was repainted its original colors a few years ago and a nice clear coat was added along with a few new components under the hood(i.e. New internals for distributor, new plugs and new plus wires, fuel filter, carb was rebuilt) but everything retained its stock look except for the inline fuel filter. The old oil soaked air filter is still under the hood.
223 inline 6 cylinder engine with 3-spend manual transmission(3 on the tree).
Rust on this truck is minimal. There is just a couple small spots on the bottom of passenger's door, the ends of the radiator core support that are exposed directly in front of the front tires, and the bottom of the bed closest to the cab.
This is a '64 model but with a 1965 grille.
The bed of the truck was replaced with diamond plate and a spray in Bedliner was installed.
The speedometer works, fuel gauge works,engine temp works,the blinkers work, headlights work, tail lights work and the GEN and Oil lights work.
A new starter was just installed and the new unit drags just a bit after startup.
The tires on this truck were purchasedlast week. All you need todo is get in this truck and drive. This is not a project. This truck is ready to go and I am looking forward to selling it.
