I have up for auction my very nice 1956 Ford Fairlane 2 Door hardtop that I bought out of Alabama awhile back. I was told the car had been in a dry climate controlled garage for over 20 years only getting it out every now and then to keep everything in good working order. I have owned a lot of these 56"s Fords in my 68 years and I can tell you this is the straightest and most solid one I have seen. No patch panels no floor pans or trunk pan patch work and don't need any. The paint is very nice, shines great, the stainless is also about as good as you will ever see to be original, the front bumper is very nice, the rear bumper has minor pitting upon close inspection. According to the Vin number it was born a 272 4 barrel although the family said it is now a 312 4 barrel so who knows all I can tell you is it runs very strong and the 4 barrel even comes on like it is suppose to. Sounds great with the dual glass packs but not loud enough to be annoying. I listed a picture of the car with the wheels off when we checked the brakes and replaced a couple wheel cylinders and I went from the front to the back very carefully looking for any repairs under the car and their were none. I have drivin this car locally and it runs and drives great with the radial tires,the front end is tight and the clutch feels really nice and the transmission shifts like it would have when it was new. This car is a proven show winner and draws a ton of attention and complements although it is not a trailer Queen. I am thinning out a couple of my cars before winter sets in, these cars in this condition are very hard to come by so if you like it don't let it get away because if the right offer is made I will end the auction early as I normally do. Please check my feedback I don't play games and I don't deal in junk! The speedometerneedle is broke and I have a nicecompletespeedometer that comes with the car. The horn will needaddressed it does not work although the horn ringfunctions as it should. Most cars I have posted on ebay do not make it to the end, I would rather sell one early for a little less and have a real buyer than to wait until the end and have a none payer!
