BACKGROUND: This is an amazingly beautiful all-steel car showing very close to no use. This car is 99% perfect. Less than 4,000 mi. Building a car this nice would cost $100,000 to $150,000. This car is indoor show quality in every way. My family and I have enjoyed it but it is time for a new owner to have some fun with it. It was first built 60’s style with whitewalls, white top, and white interior by the original/owner and builder located in West Virginia. He possesses a great deal of knowledge about this car. He will gladly discuss the car with anyone that is interested in purchasing it. Please call me and I will gladly put you in contact with him. See SUMMARY below for links to the magazine article and pics of the car’s original 60’s style build.

It was redone in approximately 2013 by Ender’s Hot Rod Garage of Montgomery, TX for Erica Enders, the 2014 and 2015 NHRA Pro Stock World Champion. Erica Enders and her sister Courtney were chronicled in the 2003 Disney movie “Right On Track”. This movie was the fact-based drama of the Enders sisters’ battle to compete and win in the male-dominated sport of NHRA racing with the inspiration of their father, Gregg Enders. I purchased this car from Gregg Enders. I have the clear title in my name. It shows Gregg Enders as the previous owner. I also have a copy of the previous title with Gregg Enders as the owner. Of course, I had to relinquish the title with Gregg Enders as owner when I titled the car in my name. Upon redoing the interior Enders Hot Rod Garage had the front panel inside the trunk stitched with the Erica Enders logo of 2 opposing letter “E”s. I also have the email contact of the Enders Hot Rod Garage employee is responsible for transforming the car to it’s current look. I can also put you in contact with him. For more info on Erica Enders and to compare that stitching to the logo on Erica Enders’ website, http://www.ericaendersracing.com/

BODY: The all-steel body was built by Kenny's Rod & Kustom of Newton Falls, Ohio and is based on a Hot Rods & Horsepower body per the original owner/builder. Hot Rods & Horsepower wasaffiliatedwith and did work for Dearborn Deuce. I am certain the body is all steel because I have gone over entire body with a magnet. This car also has a 40 Ford-style dash, Duvall windshield, stainless grille, shaved door handles, hidden door hinges, removable soft top in tan Hartz cloth. The paint color is Chrysler Electric Blue which is very vibrant and gets compliments every time I have the car out. It is a bright-blue metallic showing only minor scratches from installing/removing the top and misaligned door hinges. I have re-aligned both doors. Scratches are only in six areas: top rear corner of both doors, near tabs where top mounts, and in front of the doors just above the frame (probably caused by letting the doors just swing open). If you are careful and have help, there is no reason to scratch the car installing or removing the top. It also has several very minor and very small chips on the spreader bar from driving. Simple and clean pinstriping in tan and light blue at belt line and on trunk lid.

CHASSIS: Fatman chassis purchased and assembled by the original owner/builder along with Kenny’s Rod & Kustom. Pete & Jakes all-chrome front suspension and shocks with tubular axle and polished billet Wilwood disc brakes. Rear end housing is a fully polished STAINLESS STEEL Ford 9” with an aluminum 3rd member and 3.56 gears. The rear end is located by Polished stainless 2-link bars with a stainless panhard bar. It is suspended by aluminum coil-over shocks and Aerospace billet discs. Brakes and steering are manual but function great in a car this light. 15” real Halibrands fully polished on both sides with knock off lug covers. BF Goodrich 285/70’s on the rear and 195/65’s on the front. The entire chassis and floorpan have been painted the same bright blue as the body. It is as clean and nice as you would expect of any show-winning ride.

ENGINE/TRANS: 468 BB Chevy with polished Edelbrock Perfomer RPM heads. Dual polished Edelbrock carbs on an Endura-Shine coated Edelbrock intake. Mild hydraulic cam. Cam specs unknown but it is not too wild and not too mild. It has the just-right mean and tough idle but purrs nicely at any speed. Jet-Hot coated and baffled headers are loud but not too loud to enjoy your ride. Fully automatic TH350 with a mild performance torque converter. Just put it in drive and enjoy the ride.

INTERIOR: High-grade leather-look vinyl with high-end carpet in cockpit and trunk. Metal floor mats were fabricated in aluminum to improve fit and finish. They are covered in the same high-end carpet as the floor pan. Radio is mounted under the seat. Engraved aluminum steering wheel mounted on a polished Ididit column. Steering wheel has a quick-release mount to remove the steering wheel. This makes entry and exit easier for drivers who eat as good as I do. Trunk panels are easily removable to access battery and fuse block.

ITEMS NEEDED: Radio antenna does not seem to be hooked up but it is there hidden behind the seat. Speedometer does not work.

SELLING TERMS: All bidders will have a fair chance to win this auction. However, I do reserve the right to end this auction early since the car is for sale locally. I will not disclose my reserve. This transportation is limited to 1,400 miles in the continental United States only. I will not discount price if buyer wishes to arrange his/her own transportation. I will assist in any other transportation arrangements that exceed 1400 miles or are outside the U.S., but will not discount the sale price. Neither the car or title will leave mypossessionuntil full payment has been received and verified. The car will not leave Houston, TX until full payment has been received and verified.

SUMMARY: Hot Rod Author and 32 enthusiast Ken Gross wrote about this car in the March/April 2012 issue of American Car Collector. See http://www.americancarcollector.com/car-profiles/hot-rod/item/373-1932-ford-highboy-roadster for the article and pics of the original 60’s style build. To summarize he states “this car brought $52,800” at the Barett Jackson Scottsdale auction in 2012 in it’s original and only previous form as a 60’s style highboy. Gross further states this car was a “total steal” at that price “considering it was bought at one-third of the build estimate”. It even made the cover of American Car Collector and was dubbed the “Low Ball High Boy” because it was such a good deal for the buyer. Take a look at http://www.americancarcollector.com/premium/digital-issues/american-car-collector-march-april-2012 The car is nicer now and certainly more timeless. In 10 or 20 years this car will still look as good as it does now. And best of all, my reserve price is not that much higher considering the improvements done to the car.
