Gorgeous 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback Found in Lima, Peru while on vacation in 2010. This car is a beautiful rare find. Shipped to Peru in 1967 and back in its homeland AFTER 47 YEARS !!!The car was part of a lot of cars made FOR EXPORT to Lima, Peru. These cars were partially assembled and shipped to Ford Assembly Plants in other countries where assembly was completed before they were sold.Besides Dearborn, MI, San Jose,CA and Metuchen,NJ Ford had assembly plants in Valencia, Venezuela - Mexico City, Mexico - The Netherlands, Australia and Lima, Peru.These foreign build Fords serialized completely different than their North American made counterparts. They actually used an entirely different coding system. These cars use a VIN format reserved for Ford cars assembled outside of their country of origin. There were far fewer of these cars than the ones made in the USA which make these cars extremely unique!!!This cars VIN is 7AT07GJ24240 The first 7 means the year 1967. The letter A means: Country of Origin Ford USA and the letter T means: Production Facility Lima, Peru.This car started its life as a beautiful FOR EXPO red color coupe and was later transformed into a stunning Mustang Fastback GT-350 resto-mod.There is attention to detail in every inch of this car.The car was painted in the best paint shop in Peru. It has extra pearl to make it glitter in the sun. The front window of the car has 2 stickers that the car gets when it passed its technical tests to be allowed to drive while it was in Peru. I have all the cars documentation. The car is now in Jupiter Florida where I enjoy it every weekend!!! Before I shipped it back to the USA I had to gather extensive paperwork about the car. I have all the necessary paperwork to show buyers upon request. I have paperwork documenting work done in Peru, documentation of shipment from Lima, Peru to Miami, FL and paperwork of the car now in the USA.I have pictures when the car was in Lima Peru with its Peruvian license plate as well as now in Jupiter FL with its USA antique license plate!!!This car is not the typical Mustang driving in the USA. It is a very unique car with an even more interesting history!!! One day it was driving on the roads up and down the Andes Mountains of Peru and the next its roaring down the sunny Florida highways!! Definitely a conversation piece at the next Mustang enthusiast gathering!!!!
