1990 Ford F-150

Selling my 1990 Ford F-150 Lariat 4x4 after almost 9 years of ownership. She's treated me very, very well during that time and this is a great truck if you're not afraid of doing your own maintenance.Though it's a little rough around the edges it's in nice shape for a 26 year old truck, and you don't see too many of this vintage driving around in New England.

What really needs attention is the steering, which started getting erratic (i.e. loose, pulling to one side) about two years ago.It was greatly improved after I replaced the tie rods and had the front end aligned, but the steering has worsened over the last 6 months.I suspect it needs new ball joints.Driving the truck currently requires both hands on the wheel at all times, and honestly I don't like taking it on a busy road like it is.The truck runs, drives, brakes, etc... fine but this issue will need immediate attention in order to drive safely and I wouldn't recommend driving it home unless you live in the immediate area.

The 5.0 V8 runs great, and has only 123,000 miles.Even though I only put on about 2,000 miles a year I've always changed the oil once a year during my ownership.Manual 4 wheel drive works great, never had an issue and it's great in the snow.Has a nice bed liner.Pretty much everything works--lights, windows, wipers, radio, heat--with very few exceptions. The notable one is the air conditioning, which has never blown cold during my ownership.I've never felt any urgency about fixing it because even on a hot day with all the windows down (the sliding rear window is great!) it stays pretty cool.

Other issues include:The inside driver's door handle is falling apart.Lights on the radio display never worked. Passenger side window & door lock buttons don't work (but can be controlled by the driver's side buttons). The body has various nicks and knocks all over as you'dexpect with the truck's age, beyond that there's an area that's dented/crumpled behind passenger side front wheel, a dent at the bottom of the bed ahead of the passenger side rear wheel, denting/scraping of the trim around the passenger side rear wheel. Paint is peeling on the center of the cab roof and around the front wheel well trim. Body rust over the rear wheels, corners of the tailgate, bottoms of the doors, crunched area behind the passenger side front wheel. The windshield has a divot & crack where some fool shot it with a BB gun, it hasn't worsened in 5 years and it's over the passenger area so does not affect visibility. The bench seat is showing its age and has a few splits and fading.
