1973 Ford Ranchero GT 6.6L
1973 Ford Ranchero
I bought this 1973 Yellow Ford Ranchero in 2006, because I owned one in 1973. I had air conditioning installed first thing, then bucket seats and my husband placed them on some square metal tubing because the existing seats were stationary and I could not reach the gas pedal. We also added lap seat belts, I bought various parts for the car, head liner (never installed, but comes with car), new black side mirrors, 2 spare grills will also come with car, a spare window handle. I have all the receipts that the previous owner gave me. Pro 1 Automotive installed a new engine Feb. 29, 2004 and I have the installer checklist showing what they did along with the Engine ID #L0854. He put in a spray in bed liner, Mirrors which I replaced. He had the gauges checked, new radiator in 2005, new steering column and lock and key in 2005, $500.00 worth of work done at Quality Muffler Service in 2004 (can't read what was done), $700.00 in work done at TC's Rear End Repair in 2005, new windshield 8-03-2005, new back window 10-2004 and lots of odds and ends. I bought the car and it had 139K+ miles on it, it now has 141, 146. It has a new battery. I paid $650.00 for 2 bucket seats, $1485.00 for A/C, Door seals, side mirrors, grill and head liner and on and on. My grandson paid with tax $510.02 for stereo and speakers and blue tooth. Before I gave it to him I had Christensen Automotive go through it and make it safe for him to drive, this was 8-22-2014, grandson didn't turn 16 until 8-2015, when this work was done car had 39,903 miles on it. I have all the receipts for this work. Grandson didn't drive it much because it doesn't get great gas mileage. I mentioned some of the dents and dings in the above box under condition description. Please ask questions before bidding, I will answer as best as I can, this car sounds great and I had it for sale during Hot August Nights and only 2 guys from Australia came out to see it, customs are expensive but they both thought the car was worth more than I was asking and they said to take it to the Hot August Nights sale but I was out of town on the day of the sale. I was asking $4500.00, they said to ask $5500.00 at least, my reserve is much lower than that, it is due for new registration the end of this month and I would like to get it sold before then. This car is being sold AS_IS and is the responsibility of the buyer to arrange for shipping or to come and get it. This car will not be sold with the license plates, in the state of NV we are required to keep plates and turn them in to DMV. I have the title and I have 2 sets of keys for it. Thanks for looking and please ask questions. This car does need some body work and a paint job, hopefully you won't paint it yellow....**I have the F that is missing from the tail gate, there is a D that is missing from the front of the car, also there is a Mercedes round emblem on the hood of Ranchero, there is a hole under it, I put in on there one day cause I didn't like the hole, there should be a stand up round hood ornament there, the hood ornament was missing when I bought the car.
