1931 Ford Model A

1931 Ford Model A Rumble Seat Roadster
On offer here is a very tidy 31 Ford Model A. I am selling this car for a friend's 88-yr old daddy who bought it a few yrs ago after a thorough, high quality restoration. TThe owner is a long time member of the local Model A club so the car has benefited from having experts around to advise and help with it's proper maintenence. It has been relegated to sunny day parade duty for the past years, so a very easy life. I have clear OH title in hand for immediate transfer.
The car is all steel with good panel fits (such as they were in the day), no evidence of crash damage and completely corrosion free. It starts, runs and drives well with no mechanical or electrical issues except the horn stopped working recently. It appears to be a stock 4-cyl engine and stock standard transmission. It has been converted to a 12-V charging and electrical system. Paint looks to be close to French Gray, a correct 1931 color over black fenders.
The underside of the vehicle is exceptionally clean (see photos). There are no significant fluid leaks--a drop showing up on the drain plug of the engine and of the transmission but fluid levels were correct for both and the car has been driven on nice days without issues for the past several years. The fabric roof was re-done when the vehicle was restored. There is no evidence of water incursion into the cab or rumble seat enclosure. All wiring appears tidy, clean and tight. The vintage-look luggage trunk was added during the restoration.
The rumble seat is nicely done with no visible signs of ware, carpets, door cards, seats show fresh and undamaged. Wire wheels appear period correct and look very good with vintage-look tires which show good tread.

I am sorry I don't have any details on the restoration as they were not available to the owner when he purchased the car. I'd be happy to put you in touch with the owner's son to answer any specific questions.
