1970 Ford Mustang

Up for auction is a 1970 Mach 1 needing completerestoration, this Mach 1 is all original, matching engine and transmission.

The car came from the factory with a 351 WindsorEngine andFMX automatic transmission, the color was Dark Ivy Green Metallic, the original engine fires right up and the original FMXtransmission shifts through all the gearsas it should.

This is a running driving project that needs a lot of work, but it will make an awesome car when done, the car will need floors, frame rails, and torque boxes, the trunk will need some work as well, the rear deck lid will need to be replaced, Quarter panels can be bottom patched or replaced.The hood, doors, fenders, and rocker panels are extremely solid, the interior dash has cracks and will need to be replaced, the seats have some tears but are very useable, the door panels I would replace, the headliner needs to be replaced, the center console we need a new compartment lid.

The engine runs strong, it will need a tune up, and like any engine that's been sitting this long will need gaskets, possible carb rebuild, ETC., the brakes will need to be gone through and the radiator needs to be replaced.

This is a Matching Numbers, running and driving project Mach 1, the car is 99.5% percent complete and very worthy of a complete restoration, these cars are getting harder to get and will only go up in value.
