Classic Model A Ford Coupe Rumble Seat Stunning Head Turner Parade Ready
1931 Ford Model A Coupe
Once again I have been given the privilege of selling a beautiful Ford Model A. Like all great vintage rides, this restored Model A Coupe comes with a story. This car proves that the love for the American automobile isn't just a boys club. Sorry guys, but there are plenty of women that are car enthusiast too.
This car belongs to Ms. Gale. Gale fell in love with this car at first sight and had one of those "I've got to have it" moments that we have all experienced. It is easy to see why Gail fell in love with this car. With its unique color pairing of burgundy brown with black fenders and a peachy orange pen stripe and matching wire wheels it is a real head turner. I personally think it is one of the prettiest Model A's I have ever seen.
Ms. Gale has put this car to good use. This great looking Model A Coupe didn't just collect dust in a garage. No, Gale and her sister Peggy have enjoyed driving this car around town for several years. A drive across town for the sisters almost always ends with a conversation and meeting new people. This is what owning a restored Model A Ford does. It creates interactions with people who normally would not even look your way. Vintage cars get the attention of the young and the old and everyone in between.
One of most heartfelt stories I have heard in a long time was about how Gale and her sister Peggy took this car to the Assisted Living Center and gave some of the residents a ride to remember. I would hope the new owner would consider getting involved in such a loving gesture. It is amazing to me how many people love old cars. And for the elderly, an old Ford often brings back memories that have been silent for many years. Every resident that got to ride around that day in this good looking Coupe seemed to have their own Ford Model A story to tell.
This car has had a great life. From the casual drives around town with the sisters, to giving rides to the elderly, and decorating it up for special holidays, every moment of this car has been a loving connection. Once, Gale even put a real Christmas tree on the back and filled the rumble seat up with colorfully wrapped packages and had one of the best "mobile" Christmas decorations anyone has ever seen. However, circumstances have changed for the family and now it is time to let someone else continue making stories with this 1931 Ford Coupe.
The car is pretty. It gets looks. The restoration is about 15 years old and was originally from Alabama. The car has been garage kept, driven often, and well maintained. It has had the brakes worked on recently as well as the carburetor, water pump, and suspension. The car starts easily, and runs well. No known major problems of any kind. As I said, this car is loved, but the family must sell it.
It has an accessory leather cargo trunk that really sets the car apart from so many others. It also has matching wire wheel spare tires on both sides. There is nothing like the look of twin spares on a Ford Coupe. This body style and these accessories easily make this car worth twice the opening bid price.
(Please note: The mileage listed is arbitrary. I don't have the actually mileage since restoration. )
The interior is nice with just a few blemishes to the fabric. The rumble seat is very nice and looks just super. The paint has some issues. It still looks great from a few feet away and could be used as is for years without anyone complaining. However, there is checking in the finish and cracking in the paint is noticeable, mostly on the deck lid and doors. I included pictures of the worst areas. It is not a show car and could use a new paint job.
It is a great driver car and is ready to go the minute you make it yours. It has a clean and clear title and is ready to go in every way. There really isn't much more I can add about the car that the pictures don't tell.
Best of luck on bidding. Since the opening bid is about half of what the car is worth, someone is going to take this Ford Coupe home. Please keep that in mind when bidding. The car is in Conway, Arkansas, 72034. Buyer is responsible for transport. We will not deliver and we will not make arrangements for transport. Car must be picked up with 10 days from end of auction. Buyer must make a non-refundable deposit of $750 to Paypal within 24 hours of auction close. Balance is due with CASH or CASHIERS CHECK within 3 days of auction close unless other arrangements are agreed upon by both parties prior to pick up. No personal checks, or any other form of payment is accepted. All sales are final and the transaction must be completed within 10 days. If the car has been fully paid for and you need more time for pick up then we can make arrangements as long as that is made shortly after the auction close.
