1959 Ford Fairlane

Up for sale is a 1959 ford custom 300 2 door sedan. It has a strong running ford big block 390 fe motor. That motor is mated to a 4 speed ford top loader. The car has factory power steering. It runs and drives well. It has many new parts which include new brake master cylinder, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, points, condenser, front shocks, sway bar bushings, sway bar end links, brake lines, fuel lines, full exhaust, fuel tank lined, voltage regulator, painted about 3 years ago, new universal joints, new speedometer gear inside transmission, all the fluids were changed a few weeks ago, engine oil, coolant, Trans, differential. This car is road ready, can be cruised immediately. The tires have lots of tread left with no cracks. Here are the issues the car has, first and probably the worst but not that bad, when you shift from third gear to fourth gear extremely fast it grinds slightly going into fourth. If you shift in a normal manner there is no issue at all. Very drivable. The next issue is the gasket for the top plate on the Trans leaks a little. The car needs a new speedo cable about $18 on ebay. The driver side door glass is cracked. The car does slowly over heat when not moving in heat above 85 degrees. If the car had a shroud around the fan I truly believe this would not happen. The body looks good for the most part, the driver side door on the bottom is beginning to bubble and the driver side floor has a small hole that has been patched over. In the car the floor is very solid. The radio doesn't work. All trim and chrome is accounted for and in good shape a little but of pitting. None of this would keep you from driving this car now.
