1938 Ford Other Pickups

This item is a 1938 Ford 1/2 ton pickup with 37308 miles on odometer (the trip works as well). This pickup was restored for prades and weekend use.Previousownerpurchasedthis truck in 1980 as a project. The owner was a Ford dealership. Afterpurchase it was taken tosomeonefamiliar with flathead V8. The truckbasically is rust free but the box wa well used and needed body work and painted. The work was done by body shop staff of the Forddealership after hours. Allworkwas done with qualitymaterialsand concerns were not cut. The cab was painted first and needed very little body work. The box was repaired as best as possible with the boxinthe conditions. the front panel of the box was replaced with new sheet metal and normal body work was done. This truck is not a total restoration but a good looking truck as a classic driver. The box has dings etc from the inside that you can see in the pictures. there is a small amount of rust starting at the metal through that holds the door seal. All paint wasprofessionalgrade. The frontbumperwas rechromed. The color scheme is Charcoal clearmetallicand Silver poly.Rear window is the original and all the rest was new glass with new glass channels. The driver window has a crack in bottom (see photo) thepassengerdoor glass has a small chip at the top of the glass (see photo). The windshield cranks out for venting.The interior - theoriginalseats have been refoamed and recovered. A new aftermarket headliner and floor mat was installed. The side kick panels and the firewall werereupholstered.The motor transmission and rear end all run quietly. The motor is the 21 bolt head flathead V8. The motor runs quiet and strong. Has power and does not smoke. Its a 3 speed manual transmission. A new clutch and pressure plate were installed the flywheel was machined. all lights work except horn!! (need minor rewiring) I purchased new dry high ignition boost battery.The pickup has newhydrauliccylindersandbrakepads. It has new front springshacklekit and new frontspindle bolt kit. Has new water pumps. All 4 tires are new Firestone Power King they are 6.50 by 16 the spare tire on the runningboardisslightlysmaller 6.00 by 16 to fit on the mount. I do have Ford jack.The box has new wood flooring and metal straps.Slightlyhas wear and tear on some boards.The truck comes with Californialicense plates and is current.Please contact me for any questions or pictures you like to see.
