The Exterior Condition.
Stunning Tangelo Pearle Paint. This is a high quality, professional paint application. The body lines have been smoothed and look terrific. This is the best part of the car. A lot of time and money was invested into this Ford's body.
The tail lights are flush lenses and the frontwindshield is a custom no center line clear seam window. Your only chrome accents are the headlamp bezels,...other than that,...this Custom Street Rod screams look at me....the paint is just gorgeous and suberbly finished.
The Interior Condition.
Nice in here too,....I would get a little more excited about it if there were some trim work. This is an older build and some of the interior fit panels need some updating.
The seats are nice,...power,...the center console has an excellent sculpted center console,...so that was a pretty "Ahead of it's time" design. Otherwise,...it's pretty tidy inside. You still feel special when driving it,...but there are a few things to do to make you feel even better about it. Orrrr,...just drive in and enjoy it as it is cause it ain't bad!
The gauges work,...the Steering Wheel was the look of the day,...I'd change that to help in the updating of this "Soon to be Show Car".....it's got great potential inside,....and if it were mine,...I'd install white carpet,...maybe some long hair carpet at that,...anda fireplace :)
The Engine & Transmission Condition.
Well,...it's not just good lookin',....this thing gets right with it ! As in,..pretty fast really. The 454 is very well tuned,..the gears hit nice & smooth as the RPM's climb. She'll fill a parking lot with burn out tire smoke at any time you see fit. Step on the gas,....and you're off just like that. Listen,..it's not like a new Z-06,...but more like an old Z-06,...but fast nonetheless.
The steering and braking are sweet too....so is the undercarriage. Nice and solid,...no worries downunder.
The Ride & Drive.
Safe,..confident and ready to cruise. I would have no problem driving it anywhere at any speed. Again,..it's not a new car,..but a well built classic street rod that has a nice ride & drive that anyone can enjoy. I like the car and you should too.
What I Don't Like.
Okay,...I've save the worst for last. It's the top....again,..this is an older build. The top works fine,...it's maybe just not the best of materials & craftsmanship...it probably looked better when the car was freshly restored. If it were me,...I would install a new WhiteHaartz Cloth Top & Boot. The top on it now would just keep the rain off of you,...it won't help you win any trophys,...it's only so so nice,...clean and functional.
