Description:
1967 Ford F-100 Step Side (Styleside)
This is a great truck to use as a daily driver ratrod, to turn into a resto-mod or to completely restore it because it's mostly stock. I bought it just outside of Dallas, TX; I moved it with me to Charlottesville, VA about two years ago so the rust is very light.I don't know how to match engine with chassis numbers, but this has a period correct V8 352 FE motor in it. The obvious things that are not stock are the shifter relocation from the column to the floor, the seat, rear bumper, air intake, valve covers, and the steering wheel. The wood in the bed is missing, so there's a thick sheet of plywood there which does the trick for most jobs. The metal strips (all 7 of them to fit 8 wood planks) that connect the wood boards for the bed are still in tact for easy restoration. The tires still have 95% of their tread including the spare which comes with the truck. The battery is a brand new Sears Die Hard. There is very little rust on this truck. There is a hole in the dash (right next to the ash tray) where a stereo can go. The engine starts right up and runs strong. The fuel tank is in its stock under-the-seat location so that you can pretend you are Slim Pickens riding a nuke. There is no A/C, the heater and defroster are barely there (of course vehicles from this timeframe didn't have very good defrosters to begin with). As with many trucks from this time, this one has manual steering and manual brakes. (If the stickshift isn't enough of a theft deterrent.) No need for a gym membership if you drive much! Every time I drive this truck, I get compliments on how cool it is. This truck demands attention if not with looks, with its aggressive race car sound!Remember that this is a 50 year old truck. It has been kept running, but never fully restored. It will get you down the road in ratrod style, but if you don't have any mechanical knowledge then this truck is not the right vehicle for you to buy as your primary mode of transport. If you are interested in a ride that's cool and you can learn basic mechanics by working on, this may be your truck. If you want to see some of the cool stuff that's been done with trucks from this era, check out the TV show "Fast N Loud." The garage featured on the show has some early "bumpside" Ford shortbed pickups that turn out really wild.

Apparently Ford used to call this body style "Flareside". At this point in the auction, eBay will not permit me to change the title.Huge thanks to billybobford1967 for setting me straight. *slow clap*
