390 ENGINE...AUTOMATIC TRANS....PS....PB....GOOD TOP
1968 Ford Galaxie XL
FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION we have for sale a nice 1968 Galaxie XL convertible. It is powered by a sweet running 390 engine, onnected with a C6 automatic transmission, inch rear end, resentable red interior and white paint. The convertible top is good, t is power operated. The car drive very good with power steering. The brakes are good, ower assisted and drums all around. The body looks great to me, loors look original with very little under coating. Turn over head lights work. This is a nice driver quality, ts not a show queen to haul to the show in a trailer, ts just a real nice car.

HISTORY: I cannot tell you much, ut here it goes. Car lived in Indianapolis, ndiana for many years. A guy from Ohio bought the car in June of 2015, bought it from him this month. This is documented on the title.
DO THE TURN OVER HEAD LIGHTS WORK? Yes, hey have worked every time for me.
HOW IS THE CONVERTIBLE TOP? Very good condition, ts not new, ut it has no holes and fits good. It is a power top and itgoes up and down good. It does have a boot to cover it when down, tsin good condition, ut is a pain to put on.
HOW IS THE ENGINE? Its a good running 390, hear no knocks or rattles and see no blue smoke? We did repaint the top to make it look decent for your local car show. I do not know how many miles on it or if it has been rebuilt, ut its a good running engine.
HOW IS THE TRANSMISSION? Its a C6 automatic, t shifts good and I feel no slip.
WHAT IS THE REAR-END? Its a tuff 9 inch, hear no grinding or growls and it highway geared.
DOES THE CAR LEAK ANY FLUILDS? I would say no to bad leaks, ut its a old car and will weep drops when parked on you clean floor.
HOW ARE THE BRAKES? They feel good to me, t is 4 wheel drum type.
HOW DOES THE CAR DRIVE? To me it drives extra good, t is power steering.
HOW IS THE PAINT? Driver quality, t looks good, ut you will find some tiny flaws if you look for them with a critical eye. I see no rust bubbles, o big dents and I consider the car straight when I look down the sides. It is a repaint. Its good paint, ust not a perfect show car job, ts driver quality.
HOW IS THE CHROME? The front bumper is nice, he back bumper has lots of pitting. The door handles are original and pitted. The trim chrome is decent, ut could use polishing.
HOW IS THE GLASS? Side glass is good, he drivers glass regulator is worn at the bottom and you have to help it when rolling at the bottom. The other glass is good and roll good. The convertible top back glass is good, ts the hard plastic type. The windshield is clear, ut has a rock eye on the passengers side.
HOW IS THE TIRES AND HUBCAPS? The tires are 215/75/15 radials and look almost new. The hubcaps are wire type, ot plastic, hey are metal and good condition.
HOW IS THE INTERIOR? I think it looks good, t is a dark red color. The carpet is real nice, ash pad custom and good, oor panels good with the chrome plastic trim dull at the top, eat covers OK, he top of the back seat looks like it has a repair, he bottom where the driver sets has a couple of defects, look at the pictures".
HOW DOES THE PANELS FIT? I consider the fit good, he hood fits good, runk good, oors good.
HOW ABOUT RUST? The frame looks very good, he floors look original. The under side is not covered with thick under coating, see rusty color metal, ut no swelled places or rusty holes.

SPEEDOMETER WORKS!
I HAVE A NEW SENDING UNIT ORDERED FOR THE GAS TANK, AS GAUGE WAS NOT WORKING.
