****I sold this truck back in January and the buyer was very happy with it but I endedup getting another truck he liked better,so I took this truck back on trade.

This is for a VERY solid,unmolested,but NON running,1978 Ford F-100 Explorer Long bed pickup that is showing 54K miles.I was told is was actual,but I have no way to prove it,so you be the judge.

This a very straight local truck with great Patina.It has been in this area since new.It is 95% rust free.There is a very small amount of rust thru in the bed at the very front of the box in the beds floor.It is very minor and a easy fix.I have not found anymore rust thru anywhere else on the truck.The floors and rockers look great,as do the doors and cab corners.There is some surface rust on the bottom of the drivers door.See photos.The bed sides,quarters,fenders and cowl is all rust free and very straight.There is NO rust on the dash.The truck appears to have been repainted only once,a long time ago,back the original blue color.So it doesn't appear that anything is hiding.There is a small dent on the roof,drivers side rear,see photo.This is solid honest old truck.The interior is still all original and in descent shape.See all 24 Photos.The doors open and shut great.I have new weather stripping,window seals and felts.The Explorer hood ornament is brand new NOS.The grill and surround is in great shape.I have installed a new mirror on the drivers side and I have another one for the passenger side.It is just sitting on it,no holes have been drilled.The tires are a matched set of Goodyear wranglers 75% to the good with the original hubcaps.The truck has a fairly new dual exhaust system with cheery bombs.The spare tire carrier is still under the truck.The truck has factory A/C,power steering,power brakes,Bed Light,Deluxe interior,Delayed wipers and the Rare Explorer package option.

The truck doesn't run at present time.The 302 2 barrel motor is 100% complete but seems to be seized,it will not turn.I am not sure why.The oil is fairly clean.It was running less than 3-4 mos ago.I was told that a head gasket blew and they replaced one side only.Plan on just rebuilding or replacing the engine.The trans fluid is very clean and the steering feels tight.The brakes work fine.It rolls,stops and steers for loading.

These trucks are getting hard to find,especially still in mostly original shape.

The truck will come with a bill of sale and a Alabama registration.Alabama does NOT and will NOT issue a title on any vehicle over 35 years old.I have sold a lot of cars and trucks and this has never been a issue or a problem.Please take time to look thru my feedback as a seller.
