For sale is a 1940 Ford Deluxe Opera Coupe. The car is uncut. un-chopped or modified. nbsp;and is in excellent overall original condition. The car had undergone restoration about 4 years ago. The car's all steel body and components were in excellent condition initially. requiring minimal repair work. nbsp; and resulting in outstanding fit. finish and alignment of all body parts at re-assembly. The exterior color was redone in factory correct Garnet Maroon. The interior is new with the correct colors completed in mohair fabric. The rear jump seats are in place and operate as they should. The car has the original radio and heater. however the radio is not working. The stock 85 HP engine was replaced with a period correct. 100 HP. 59 A-B flathead V8. The V8 is fresh and has been driven less than 1000 miles. Power is driven through a 3-speed manual transmission. The tires are new Federal 205 / 70R 16C in Wide White Wall. Overall condition: The car shows 599 miles on speedometer. All gauges work. The car runs. drives. brakes and handles great. The engine does not burn oil. but does have a little leakage in the area of rear main seal. The exhaust system is new with dual pipes and glass packs. The transmission shifts good in all gears with no transmission noise. All lighting works. The body fit and finish is exceptional. Doors. hood and trunk open and close with ease. On a scale of 1 to 10. with 10 being the best. the paint is a 9. 5 . The glass is good. The front and rear bumpers are driver quality. and could stand to be re-done for show condition. The radio does not work.
