If you want a super nice Model T that's ready to enjoy, his is a fantastic choice. If you're a truck collector, nd I know there are plenty of you out there, ou need a T in your collection. With a bright color scheme, t's not quite the way Henry built it back in 1925, ut the bright yellow finish is exceptionally well done and shows very little use since it was finished. The traditional black fenders look right, ffering a bit of contrast that adds to the rugged look. The familiar grille plus the upright cab all date the truck and make it the most identifiable hauler of all time, nd given the values of Model Ts, t's shocking to see one this well restored. The bed is freshly finished with lovely oak planks and matching stake sides, nd it's just as sturdy and ready to work as it was nearly a century ago. Kind of cool to think that commercial vehicles also were things of beauty, sn't it? There's no chrome, f course, ut the functional side-mounted tire adds some style and it's got two taillights out back for safety. The interior is surprisingly classy for a blue-collar hauler, ith pleated seat cushions and a nicely finished dashboard. The same Model T controls that you got on the passenger cars were used here, oo, ncluding a hand throttle, nd a set of foot pedals for the 2-speed planetary transmission. It's easy to operate once you see how it works and if you've got the time, he dependable Model T will get you anywhere you need to go as long as there's gas in the under-seat tank. A hard maple steering wheel is big and beefy and offers plenty of leverage for the steering, ven fully loaded. Instrumentation includes an ammeter that monitors the generator's output and the ignition switch, lus an accessory Stewart speedometer. A rubber mat dresses it up a bit, s does the black canvas convertible top, hich is beautifully fitted. The engine is the same 4-cylinder 20-horsepower powerplant that was under the hood of every Model T, ut with clever gearing, t moves the truck easily, oaded or empty. Speed isn't the point, eliability is, nd this ancient machine will still out-last just about anything made today on the job site. It's rebuilt and runs great thanks to a few upgrades, ncluding a distributor for the ignition system and all new wiring. The updraft carburetor hangs under the cast iron exhaust manifold and it fires with a familiar sound that forms the background soundtrack for every old movie ever made. The basic chassis is in great shape, nd wears bright red paint, nice contrast to the red bodywork, nd while it's not totally authentic, obody will argue with how it looks. Restored wire wheels with bright orange paint sport recent 21-inch blackwall tires for a proper look.A wonderful vintage truck that always attracts a lot of attention and will be a lot of fun for parades and shows.
