1970 Fiat 850 Spider Convertible White RWD Manual
1970 Fiat 850 Spider base
Vehicle DetailsSophia is my 1970 Fiat spider. The engine has been rebuilt which included new .60mm pistons, bore and hone of engine block, rings bearings, all valves, new valve springs and surfacing of cylinder head. The intake has been modified to use a Weber 32/36 dgev carburetor with electric choke. Starts easily and runs great. Drives very well and shifts smoothly. Clutch is new as well. Tires and battery less than 1 year old with less than 50 miles. Rear quarters and rocker panels are all solid as well as the floors. The x-brace is solid but has 1 leg( drivers side front) repaired with angle iron by previous owner. It is strong but incorrect in appearance. The voltage regulator should be replaced as it will not function sometimes. It is original to the car. Some surface rust in front trunk but no holes. The car has been repainted in white. It was originally Positano yellow. Have Receipts for all work done. The car has been completely rewired with a Painless performance wiring harness and modern style fuse block and relays. New master cylinder and rear wheel cylinders. Brakes work well with 70-75% pad remaining. Starter motor is also new. Have service manuals, owners manual and all original parts except for original wiring harness. The top is in nice shape but was poorly installed and/or adjusted. Parts to repair noted items are less than $100. Drive axle boots appear original and show some cracks but are not currently leaking. Please ask any questions you might have and thanks for looking.
