1972 Fiat 127J 127 A red

I live in Alabama. I bought this car from a private dealer two years ago. It does not have the canvas liner top. It was part of a collection. These were never sold in U.S. There is no VIN etc. Trying to see if there is any interest here as I know people like to collect these.I have more pics will post later . PLEASE ASK me anything. So this is what I have learned about this vehicle. Never legally imported here, they were made 1970-1973.
Currently, they sell in the UK and Italy for about 10 to 18,000 dollars. When we got the car, we didn't know his.
I do not have any paperwork other than bill of sale from dealer. He told us that because it was over 25 years old, had no VIN, and was never imported here for use, that his bill of sale was enough. This model had a canvas top or soft top and no, it did not have it when I purchased it but my son didn't care.
It does have rust around the windshiel, bumpers, a spot on the hood. I updated photos on listing, so you can see.
The car was working and driving when I got it. The seller said he thought the tires might be dry because the car was part of an extensive collection and had been stored in a garage here on Lake Martin Alabama.
the same day our mechanic checked it out and said he thought it was great. However, he cautioned my son that he should change out all the fluids, gas, transmissio, in case they were in his words"Sludgy" and might "Gunk" up the engine.
However, we were doomed to never find out if we had either "Sludge" or "Gunk".
My son who is a special young ma, was so thrilled with the car, that he heeded our advice and did not attempt to drive it. He did turn it off and on for about three hours. It then decided not to start. He walked away from it and it hasn't been touched since.
Sadly, it has been stored outside, however it has been under a portable awning. I was looking for someone who knew something about Fiats/Foreign cars. Our mechanic said that he thought wither the battery had die, or that Alec had killed the "starter" switch and that it shouldn't take much to fix. I don't know how myself. I was told by Barret-Jackson that the last fully restored one they had sold for $69,000. I don't know, I have seen one similar that sold for about 18,000 in Florida? They called it a jolly car. My son and I are desperate to sell this car and think its worth what we are asking. It is a PROJECT car,but it won't take much for it to be running and cute again. You could resell at a profit. I wanted too, but my husband left, and I am trying to provide.PLEASE PLEASE ASK ME ANYTHING>
REvised this with additional pics. I mant to say the windshield goes down in front!!! KInda badass.
