This fun Fiat is perfect for that Italian sports car enthusiast! The 1.6 liter engine starts right up and runs beautifully. The 5-speed manual transmission and four wheel disc brakes makes this convertible quite the engaging driver. Solid, well cared for examples of Fiat's are rare, especially a 1973 with the chrome bumpers and no smog requirements. I bought this California driver from an online donation site almost 2 years ago. Body was good and it appears the car was well maintained until the rear end and clutch issues became too much for the owner to handle. I've replaced/fixed all mechanical issues, fixed some rust in the floor and cleaned up the interior so this thing is really a joy. (I tried to buy aftermarket seats but they were too tall so I bought some expensive seat covers although I think it would be worth having the originals recovered). The engine starts right up and purrs and has new clutch and linkage, replacement rear-end pumpkin, fully updated suspension and other misc. upgrades. This car is not perfect but it looks great and is a blast to drive.
I've kept it all stock except for wheels and tires (I have the original factory sport wheels with good radials that will go with the car). The top is old but works fine (a rip on passenger side has been repaired). Interior has new carpet, new wood dash, door panels and seat covers, new radio/cd player and other new odds and ends. Paint is old but generally looks good and body is straight with only a few minor blemishes. There is a small crack in the corner of the windshield, but it doesn't seem to be expanding.
