1981 Fiat 124 Spider Convertible 2-Door 2.0L

This 1981 Fiat has had a pampered life. We have maintained this car for the past few years and it is running very nicely. The engine was completely rebuilt about 20,000 miles ago, at which time it received new bearings, rings, water pump, timing belt and timing belt tensioner, among other items.

In the past few months we have replaced front ball joints, performed brake work, added a new thermostat, replaced the airflow meter, and the ignition module.

Clutch is good, brakes and hydraulic systems are good, gearbox shifts very smoothly- all syncros are working well with no grinding on upshift or downshift. Convertible top is in good shape. This car has been kept indoors its entire life and it shows well.

Interior - Front seats have been professionally recovered. Dashboard in perfect shape- no cracks (Capped). All gauges work. including clock!

Modern JVC Stereo CD player with MP3 aux input.

Bumpers straight - some minor chome pitting on top front bumper rail.

Speedometer reads 85,924. Title states that mileage is not actual. Title (issued in 2007) reads 167,351 Branded NOT ACTUAL . note -5 digit odometer

The car was professionally repainted about 15 years ago and looks good for a 15 year old paint job.

Known problems - Heater/demister fan does not work. Sunvisors have been removed. Rebuilt -Starter can be cranky - but starts every time.

You will love driving and working on this perky little roadster. As with all old Fiats they provide great entertainment.
