Rare Italian beauty seeks loving owner
1978 Fiat Brava 131 Super Brava
Rare Italian beauty we call Sofie is looking for a new home. She's a real lady! Purrs like a kitten (video available on request). She's had cosmetic work. ..a new paint job that matches her original color as seen in her trunk. NO RUST on this girl. A peek in her trunk tells you she's solid. Her seats have been reupholstered in a luxurious fabric that matches her original color. She has a new headliner as well. The only blemish on her interior is some cracking on the vinyl of the drivers side door panel.Sofie is not a show car and far from perfect. (She could use new front struts.) She's a unique and beautiful classic that's ready to drive. In fact, we have a big valvehead, performancecams and pulleys that would take this kitten and turn her into a wild cat! If you "Buy it Now" these parts are yours. If you win her in the auction, we can negotiate an additional price for the performance parts. (BTW, these parts alone are worth $1,500.)
Sofie is a five speed that shifts smoothly. Her carburetor has recently been cleaned; clutch, timing belt and water pump replaced. She has new Yokohama tires, her wheels have beenprofessionally refinishedand she hasa new battery. The original rear drum brakes were upgraded to disc brakes that have been serviced all around so she stops when you ask her to. She has a full sized spare in the trunk. Her air conditioning can be recharged and works... but not quite enough for 117 degrees in Phoenix.:)
She has all her original emission parts...but needs a new catalytic converter.
As for mileage...her odometer reads 69K miles. The State of Arizona wouldn't believe the low mileage on our girlso they made us put "unknown" when we registered her. However, if you look under the hood and hear how good she sounds, I think you'd agree with us that the odometer is most likely correct.
We really love this girl. She's a car you can jump in and go. We just have too many cars and she's spent too many long, lonely months in storage. We'd like to find her a home with someone who will love her and drive her.
Serious inquiries will receive additional photos and videos.

To answer some questions:
1) no accidents2) she has electronic ignition from a later model Spider3) I'd drive her cross country without hesitation4) the head, cams and pulleys shown are high performance parts included if she sells for $6K or more.

Note on Performance parts: If she sells for less than $6K, the performance parts are available for purchase. Winning bidder can speak to my husband regarding these parts.

Note regarding emissions: She's a California car and all the original emissions equipment is intact EXCEPT I removed the catalytic converter. She's exempt from smog in Arizona because she's on classic car insurance with limited annual mileage.
