1983 Ferrari 308

This is a rare, yes RARE, 1983 Ferrari 308 GTB QV Euro. 1 of 748. Out of the 748 GTB QVs ever made, only about 250 were Euro models with this factory front spoiler and fog lights. Since I have owned this car, only one out of the Netherlands has been sold. This is a light weight, GTB with the beautiful lightweight bumpers. Compare these pictures to the large US model bumpers that are extremely heavy. The Euro model cars with front deep spoiler and optional fog lights are what inspired the famous 288 GTO.
This 3.0 v8, (308), still has its original exhaust. Most change this, and I have been thinking about doing the same. It is untouched, very original. It has just undergone a 9K engine out service. It only has 44Kilometers or 27K Miles. All gauges are in metric. The interior is original, no tears or splitting of the seams. The leather could use some conditioning. The wheels are aftermarket Cromadora wheels. I have the original wheels however, they are undersized for the car. They are also TRX metric wheels. I put on 16's with wider rears for a nice staggard look. The car handles unbelievably better and the look fits the car better as well. I have the original wheels stored away. They come with the car.
Regarding the shields, they come off with dental floss and some light buffing. I bought the car with incorrectly placed shields and I bought new ones and placed them lower. Personal preference. If you want I can have them removed if you request.
The interior is all original. I can only post 35 pics but if there is anything you want, please feel free to call or email me for additional pics. I posted mostly engine bay photos as this exemplifies just how clean this car is. The seats could use some conditioning as they are 40 years old now. They are losing their suppleness but still look great with NO tears.
I recently took this on a 308/328 run with 26 other Ferraris. This was the cleanest of the 308's. The car had a paint correction about a year ago. Drive this down Rodeo Blvd and people stop and take pictures by the dozens. I am not joking or exaggerating. This car is a must see in person to show how the paint pops. Clean title. I don't want to sell but Uncle Sam wants his money so I have to do what I have to do.
Every car has a story, so here's this ones. This car sat for nearly 20 years at one point in its life. I am the 4th owner. It was originally sold in Italy and it stayed there for approximately 10 years. Then it was sold to a collector in Toronto. There it stayed for nearly 25 years. Most of which it sat for approximately 15-20 years depending on who you ask. In that time, it was repainted Rosso Corso. All panels where taken off and a highly detailed, involved paint job was done. Silver is the original color. (This was found out after I purchased). The third owner barely had it 2 years in Miami. I bought it from him through a broker who was not honest about its history. I then spent over 14k in just over 2 years replacing all the seals, belts, tires/wheels, hoses, radiator service, differential service, a rear brake caliper that seized and little odds and ends. Now it is a joy to drive. I drive it up Angeles Crest mountain to Good Vibes on fridays when I'm able. It handles well and no issues. It is sorted and depending on how meticulous you are, you can keep going picking at things or show and enjoy as is. I was thinking of doing a nice exhaust but this car is very original. I'll leave that up to the next owner.
