All of the original owner'sFerrari of Houston service records, dating as far back as to the original new vehicle pre delivery inspection (PDI) on February 27, 1981,document this very original 1980 Ferrari 308 GTSi's full history.Documentation includesvarious condition reports showing no signs of accident damage. According to the extensive records, this 308 has never seen a repaint of any sort and current condition supports this claim as it does have it's naturalagingflaws.While the paint presents very well, it does have typical cracks, chips and minor dings along with minor surfacecorrosionin the common areas associated with 308's of this vintage. All four wheels plus the spare arebelievedto be original to the car,with only one prior refinish on each wheel according to records. Tires are correct but should be replaced due to age. The interior is believed to be original according to records, presents very well for it's age, however a thorough cleaning will bring most surfaces to life.
Prior to offeringthe 308 to the public, the current owner requestedcompression and leak down tests to be performed by our Ferrari Certified technicians. Results are possibly some of the best we have seen for a car of this vintage and atestament to the care given to this example throughout it's well documented life (Results Below).
While the compression and leak down tests were positive, the car is due for a major service among other various services to bring the car up to date as the car has been stored/driven sparingly over the last 20 years. It does however run and drive as it should.
