Up for NO RESERVE AUCTION: 1987 Dodge Caravan SE Up for sale is a wonderful, solid 80's Classic Caravan in prime "Barn Find" Condition. I purchased this van from a very nice local Family in Upstate,NY who used it for trips to the Pennsylvania Car Show/Swap Meets. Until it was parked and laid up in 2010 where it Sat until 2024. It was originally owned by the local Doctor who used it to make house calls from what I understand. I bought it with the intention of using it for commuting with my tools, as well as scrap and salvage runs, however I had to put it on hold to manage other expenses. -I did manage to get the Van Running and Driving, it runs fairly strong but certainly needs a full going through, it has a highly complex and sensitive Japanese Carburetor that tends to idle quite high unless the choke is held open manually. Engine: 2.2 4 Cylinder Mitsubishi Transmission: Automatic Miles: 145,199 Title Status: Clean Positive Aspects of the Vehicle: -Frame and Floors is in excellent condition with very minimal rot -Glass is in Excellent Condition -Body is very straight -Chrome is in excellent condition -Both Row Rear Seats Included (Out of Vehicle) Outstanding Issues: -The Brakes also need a full going through, I replaced the master cylinder but they are still going to the floor and I am yet to discover the leak. -The driver side wiper arm is in fact snapped off and will need to be replaced. -The Muffler has a big hole in it and it sounds accordingly when running -I recently changed the oil and filter, and new plugs -Tires are very dry rotted -2nd Row Detachable Bench Seat has a little mouse chew on Bottom Rest -Driverside Front Bottom Rest has small tear -Rear Gatch Door Shocks are limp and won’t hold up door on their own/need replacement -The back hatch panel has a small chip in it and will need new clips/mounts but is certainly usable/salvageable -The headliner will need to be re done -This Vehicle is Sold As Is / Where I, All Sales Final -Buyer is 100% in charge of pick up and transport of this vehicle. -Vehicle must be towed/flatbedded/trailered and will not be driven off the property
