1958 Dodge 1/2 Ton Pickup
Not many chances to get your hands on something this rare. Chevy had the Cameo, Ford the ranchero, Dodge had nothing for that catagory in the market. So Chrysler took a regular truck off the assembly line and sent it to a special devision within Chrysler to be finished by hand. They used the rear quarters tailgate and tail light assembly from the Suburban Spectator wagon for the bed. The engine turns over WITH THE KEY. The truck is unmolested, To the best of my knowledge only 60 of these are known to survive. i assume when this one gets registered it will be #61. It has all new brakes setting in the seat in boxes. To my knowledge the only thing missing is two pieces of stainless trim they will NOT be impossible to find. The one on the side of the bed also came on the 2 door wagon, find a wagon with it, bingo! the other missing chrome is on the front above the headlight, other 58 Dodge trucks will have it. It will be an easy restoration since its all there, The only rusted through areas i see is the bottom of the rear quarters as shown in the photos. The tail light can also be found from a wagon but watching Youtubers i found out that most guys buy 1959 CaddiIac tail lights for them. I got it in a package trade Ijust don't have time for it. i may conside some trades.Its not in my way so if you buy it, it can set until its convenient to pick it up as long as you pay a respectable deposit. A hotshot truck can get to my house but and 18 wheeler cannot. i can shuttle it to another location if it must be moved on an 18 wheeler
