1973 Dodge Dart
>>>>> SECOND UPDATENot running at the moment. After more looking I found the fuel line disconnected and a fuel pump and filter next to the car - I can only assume he was in the process of replacing those at the time of his passing. Also I was able to get partially underneath the car and take some photos (not very good ones) of the underside, so these are posted with this update.>>>>> UPDATED INFORMATIONI have looked at the car again and after removing dust and crap from the trunk I could see the bottom of the spare tire well has rust. Not rusted thru though. Also, by way of disclosure, I found some very small spots along the channel where the weatherstripping would be under the trunk lid below the rear glass and next to the right rear tail-light. These feel solid. There may be other small spots but the body as a whole looks solid. As I mentioned before I can't get underneath the car to see.I did find the casting number on the extra block: 4006830 which according to the internet translates to a Mopar 360 from 1976 to 1980. Looks "new". Hope this information helps. Thanks.Attention Mopar Motorheads:Up for sale is this 1973 Dart Sport project car. Selling from our son's estate, this car was his labor of love for years as time and money allowed. Not a car guy myself, so don't know everything done nor intentions for additional work or finishing, but will list as many details below as I can.- Always garaged for at least past 20-25 years but since it hasn't been touched for 2 1/2 years it is quite dusty.- Last registered in 2021 (son passed in 2022). Car was road-worthy and driven from time to time but not a daily driver. His mom and I have both ridden in it, but not sure when it was last on the road.- This was originally a 6-cylinder; but rebuilt 360 (air cleaner top indicates that anyway) was dropped in some years ago.- Edelbrock 4-bbl carburetor, don't know the model.- B&M Automatic Shifter.- Cragar wheels- Rev limiter controls installed under the dash.- Tachometer and oil pressure gauge installed on steering column.- Tires appear to be in good shape: P195/65R15 on front and P275/60R15 on rear.- It appears most of the mechanical work is complete, with paint/cosmetics/trim work remaining.- Primer grey body with no rust as far as I can see. Haven't looked underneath since I'm too old to crawl under there to look at the undercarriage.- Front bucket seats and rear bench seat are in good condition. Rear seat folds down flat.-Odometer reads 24,761.9 but has probably rolled over.As stated above I don't know what the intentions were for finishing or additional work on the car, but included in this sale are the following items:- Another V8 engine block, wrapped in plastic, looks clean but in unknown condition, age, or size.- Two cylinder heads, new looking, wrapped in plastic, presumably for the engine block above, but not sure.- Box of 8 new pistons marked "Mopar" and "Chrysler 360" - see detailed specs in photos.- Crankshaft that appears to be clean and in excellent condition, maybe new, also viewable in photos.Sorry about the photos - they're as good as I can do with my phone in the confines of the garage/shop.Bring your trailer - Local pickup only in Albuquerque, NM.
