1951 Dodge B3B Pickup Chassis and Drivetrain with 1958 Dodge Power Wagon Engine. Came from a complete vehicle that I bought to restomod. Not sure about it's complete history, but I was told by previous owner that it was restored around 1999 and was sold around 2004. Vehicle was kept in storage for 20 years plus. I bought it from the third owner in May of 2024. I have included a picture of the truck as I purchased. Chassis and drivetrain is left over from my restomod project. Ad is for frame and drivetrain only as shown in photos.Engine runs great with 55 lbs. oil pressure and 125 psi compression on all cylinders. These old engines were low compression and numbers are in spec. Electrics are converted to 12 volt with internally regulated alternator. Complete tune up including new plugs, points, condenser, cap, rotor, coil, and plug wires. Fresh oil and filter change. Only problem with engine is that it does smoke when you race the engine. Could be from the rings sitting 20 plus years or it may need a ring job. Engine runs great with no misses or noises, though.Transmission seemed to shift well and has Fluid Drive. This model trans was not synchronized very well, so you need to know how to double-clutch. Fluid drive was a hydraulic coupling, kind of like a torque converter, in addition to the manual clutch.Truck has good brakes and I replaced the master cylinder and some brake lines.According to the previous owner, all of this was restored in 1999, but I have no way of verifying this. I did drive the truck a couple of times before I tore it down, and it seemed to operate okay.Engine is from a 1958 Dodge Power Wagon, according to serial number on block. Will definitely need new gaskets and seals, as it has a couple of oil leaks from pan and tappet covers. Newer carb and fuel system is good. Chassis is located in northeast Mississippi, just north of Columbus, MS. Auction is for local pick up, but I may be able to deliver or meet half way, if you cover the expenses. I will try to work with buyer on this. Also glad to answer and questions. Will accept cash or check as long as check clears my bank before chassis leaves my possession. Bill of sale only.
