1968 Dodge Super Bee

REAL BARN FIND!!ExteriorEmbodying an aura of resilience, this 1968 Dodge Super Bee Patina stands out not for gleaming finishes but for a depth of character wrought by years of sitting and waiting on the right person. Its form, detailed with beautiful body lines against a backdrop of black and chrome accents, showcases its original red paint from the doors back as a symbol of endurance. Positioned on a set of 14" vintage Fenton Gyro Slot, it parades its rich mustle car history.InteriorVenturing inside, the Super Bee presents a narrative of years of sitting dormant waiting on a caring hand interwoven with elements of its original essence. The cabin is anchored by a black vinyl split bench seat with it's unmolested original interior showing years of neglect. DrivetrainBeneath the hood is an 383hp engine that is connected to a Torque Flite automatic transmission. This is an original factory 383 big-block auto car that car retains its original 8 3/4 rear axle.If you're looking to make a daily driver, or week end warrior 68 Super Bee this is the vehicle for you. Trailer queens and show cars are over rated, and you can't drive them guilt free. They are only original once, and this one displays it original paint beautifully. If you are looking for a car to do a nut and bolt restoration you couldn't find a better unrestored candidate to use as a base. As can be seen in the pictures the floor pans are in need of replacement, along with the trunk pan that I know of. Fortunately this is a car was undercoated so most of the undercarriage is in good shape, or repairable. Please look at pictures, you be the judge of your abilities or checkbook. Quarters, deck lid, and hood are repairable. Rockers, and fenders are solid. Pans need replacement along with interior. The hard to find, expensive, obsolete parts are there. This car has been in a barn for several decades, and shows it. What you see in pictures are what you are getting, however does come with rear bumper and rear glass. Door glass and quarter windows are long gone. The engine is a 383, but unsure if its original, however is marked as a 1968. It seems to be frozen, but put marvel in the cylinders a week ago and have not tried it since. Please message with any questions, or if more pictures are needed at 985-614-3329.In 1968 the two MOPAR divisions, Dodge and Plymouth, began to engage in a bit of sibling rivalry. The original Super Bee was based on the Dodge Coronet. The 1968 model only came as a two-door coupe and two engine options, the base 335 hp 383 Magnum,& the 426 Hemi rated at 425 hp. There were 7,842 Super Bee's produced in 1968, 4,783 were 383 auto cars. There is no telling how many of those 4,783 were red with black interior, or how many are left. This is an exceedingly rare car that will serve just as well as a ''Roadkill'' driver, or as a nut and bolt restoration. This is not a clone, This is a real deal Super Bee in original unrestored condition. The milage is believed to be original, but I have no proof or documentation. I believe the vehicle was wrecked in the 70's on the right front and was never completed, however the original radiator support is intact and in good condition displaying its numbers. Please Note: SOLD AS IS WHERE IS WITH A CLEAN TITLE.
