1969 Dodge Charger RT Clone THIS IS A NON NUMBERS MATCHING AUTO. Does not have fender tag.HERE IS WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT THE CAR.
We have owned this car for 21 Years. The Charger has been kept in a insulated garage and has not seen rain or a night out for 21 years. It's story, we purchased the Charger on e-bay from a body shop that had painted it and installed a new vinyl top. It ran leaked oil everywhere. We decided to keep it and soon started its recovery. It now has a 383 built by GRICE RACING ENGINES, Summit 727 STREET FIGHTER transmission, Auburn Gear Pro Series Limited Slip Differential with 3.55 Motive ring and pinion, Greenly one piece axle bearings. and Summit Traction bars. New front end a frame bushings, ball joints, tie-rod ends, pitman arm. heavy duty sway bar, big block torsion bars and all four shocks. Replaced all brake shoes and wheel cylinders and bearings Installed a hydro- boost brake booster ( last year) New Borgeson quick ratio power steering unit, rebuilt pump and cooler (installed last year) . Installed aftermarket air in factory vents (it was a factory air car) Aluminum radiator with two puller fans. Instrument cluster was sent to rebuilder and all works correctly including the tick-tock tac. The factory radio does not work, installed after market radio and gauges below dash. Front and rear seats were recovered with REAL BLACK LEATHER. Decided to make it a R T Clone a few years ago. The DOWN SIDE> It is 20 year old rebuild so it will have some wear, There is some rust appearing near the lower front of the left door, and in front or the rear wheels, ( I have included pictures of the rust). This a very rare car and we love it ALWAYS WINS A TROPHY AND GETS THUMBS UP AND PLENTY OF DREAMERS but, we are getting up in years and have too many collector cars to maintain.
This car is for sale for CASH ONLY no trades. I do not need any help selling it. I will not deliver it, ship it, you will need to inspect the car yourself when you pick it up I as you can tell we have a car lift to aid inspection.
