This 1970 Dodge Charger is a modified vehicle with updates to the exterior, interior and drivetrain. The owner has had it for 5+ years. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for weekend drives.

Vehicle Details

For sale is a 1970 Charger 500 that is a true California car. This car has retained all of its original body panels with the exception of the trunk floor. This car was ordered from the factory with a 383 engine, yellow exterior, green interior and a white vinyl top. The owner has built and modified the car to how you see it today. It has been modified tastefully and was built to enjoy and go fast! This is now a no frills 70 Charger. It has somewhere near 650 horsepower and has all the best parts on the car. This car has been owned for 33 years by the same owner, and was his 1st car. It’s been a labor of love, effort and tons of money invested to get the car to this point. This car has 1900 miles on the build and is ready to take out and enjoy. I will try to break everything down so the buyer knows exactly what they’re getting in this car.

Engine- Forged crank 440 stroked to 500ci. Approximately 10.5-1 compression, H Beam rods, JE Pistons, Milodon Gear Drive, Fluid Dampner, Comp Came roller cam and lifters, Harland Sharp Roller rockers, Indy Head, M1 intake, Quick Fuel 850 double pumper and MSD distributor and ignition.

Transmission- 727 Auto with Gear Vendors overdrive, Full Manual reverse valve body, custom torque converter built by ATO in Rancho Cordova, CA

Suspension- Hotchkis heavy duty oversized Sway Bar and Torsion Bars, 11/16” Tie rods, Firm Feel bigger strut rods, Billstein Shocks all the way around, Magnaforce upper control arms, reinforced lower control arms and K Frame. Rear springs relocated and are Mopar Super Stock leaf springs

Tires- Michelin C1 tires with 275/35/18 up front and 345/30/19 in the rear. Wheels and tires were around $8000.

Rear end- 8 3/4 rear with Richmond 3.73 gears.

Body- Body is laser straight and retains all of its original panels except the trunk floor and the fiberglass lift off hood. Car does come with a steel hood. The car has no rust and it’s extremely hard to find a Charger with all its original quarters, and panels unmolested. The body has had some modifications for a more sinister look. Drop rails have been shaved off for a cleaner look as well as the engine bay has been customized and smoothed out. The car has been mini tubbed in the rear and also has a rear 4 point cage. No door bars, And also still retains the rear seat in the car. The body has a fresh satin black SEM coat of paint and a white stripe added. The cars body would be ready immediately to clear or to put in two stage paint if that is what you wanted to do. It needs no body or metal work at all. All door/fender/trunk gaps are beautiful still on the car as came from the factory. Has a modified grille and front Chin Spoilers

Brakes- Willwood Disc Brakes at all 4 corners with HydroBoost. Car stops perfectly

Interior- New Headliner, dash pad and carpet. Custom seats with seat belt harnesses. Custom autometer gauges.

Misc.- Has lots of new parts to much to list it all. Does have new fuel tank and lines. New brake lines. New 3 core Radiator. Custom Fuel Cap. All electrical and gauges work as they should. Light, gauges and Heater are its creature comforts. No A/C or wipers. Glass all works and rolls up and down as it should. This is a get in and go 1970 Charger hot rod.
