1978 Dodge Other Pickups D100 Utiline

This 1978 Dodge D100 Utiline short bed 2WD is a classic truck with a clean SC title. It has a black exterior and interior color. The standard cab pickup has a seating capacity of three and has only had two previous owners - second owner had it since it was 6 months old. The mileage is at 78000 and the transmission is a 727 automatic torqueflight. Under the hood, the Dodge D100 Utiline has a 318 2-bbl engine with gasoline as the fuel type. It is a short bed utiline 2WD drive type.
The truck needs pressure washed/cleaned. There is no visible exterior rust holes, except driver side bed step and a few pin holes in tailgate. Cab corners are perfect, fenders are perfect, door bottoms are all good. On the inside, it has typical spots that need attention (few spots on floor, few spots along door jamb. Hood is rusted where the mounts connect to it. Wood boards inside bed is long gone and needs replaced. Cab roof is in great condition, only patina to handle how you deem fit. Personally, I'd just smooth it out and use Poppy Patina clear on it as the truck has a unique patina to it. The dash above steering wheel is no good, but I am including a perfect black replacement; glove box lid is great. This truck would not take much to get back on the road at all. Grille is nearly perfect, just needs polished. Of course, like them all, you will need to go through the braking system, too.
The tires are brand new with 0 miles on them ($700). The wheels are aluminum 5x4.5" 15x7 and 15x8 staggered with 50-series tires on back. 70-series up front.
The 318 and 727 I am not sure about as I have not messed with it. The truck shifts great to pull it around the yard as needed, but I have not tried to start it or anything like that. I think it turns, but it's been a while and I would go through it all, anyway. May be great, may need typical stuff after sitting a long time. I do know the truck had sat for over 10 years by the time I found it.
Options: This is an A/C delete truck. However, it was special ordered with following options:

  • Tuff steering wheel
  • Chrome slotted wheels and spare still mounted under truck (now has aluminum wheels).
  • Front sway bar (like LRE/Warlock trucks)

  • I have the original SC title dated 1/26/1979 when it was transferred to last owner just 6 months later after his friend purchased it, then fell in love with a Camaro and sold it to him.
If you have questions, ask. This is about all I know about the truck.
